How we make games.
We like games where the rules are simple to learn and the results are not: where a handful of honest systems push against each other and something unexpected comes out.
Systems first
Hiring, money, markets and rivals all affect each other. The story of a playthrough comes out of those systems, not from scripted events.
Opponents that play fair
Computer-run rivals follow the same rules as the player. When they win, it is because they played well.
No single right answer
Every choice has a cost. Different strategies lead to different companies, different risks and different endings.
